This website is currently related to the pursuit of a hobby; as well as sharing the same with family, friends and anyone else interested.
Whereas I would like to successsfully adhere to all proper web-building standards -- ensuring that all media devices are able to access my website -- it is simply not practical for me to do so at present. Therefore, I am NOT attempting to make sure that all devices such as smaller smart phones or older browsers are accomodated.
I share the following disclosure hoping it might readily help explain at least some device or browser issues. Please consider the following two facts that may be effecting a viewer negatively:
(1.) Because it is my understanding that more than 80% of all browser users rely on Google Chrome, I am initially making Google Chrome my browser standard. (2.) I personally use all Apple devices including I-phone and computers for doing all of my work related to both photography and the web. Therefore, these are the same devices I am initially using to monitor my website's functioning.
Most importantly, this website has been specifically designed for optimum-visual-presentation on a desktop-size-display (min. 1200+ pixels wide) for both viewing and keyboard interaction (as in large display and mouse hovering). Screens smaller than that simply result in required vertical scrolling, smaller pictures and a lessened overall visual perspective from that intended.
Bootstrap (a device-screen-size responsive component) is incorported within my Dreamweaver website; and that is what I am relying upon to accomodate as many smaller devices as I can realistically design for.
I have much to learn about web design. However, in an effort to offer expert resources, I refer you to both Adobe Dreamweaver's Classroom in a Book, by Jim Maivald regarding Dreamweaver, and Scott Kelby's book on Lightroom CC. These are excellent learning resources for both of these Adobe products (Dreamweaver and Lightroom CC). Together these two books have taught me all that I know about these two Adobe products. Together, they have enabled me to both work with my photographs and present them on the web.
My own experience concerning website building has too often met with confusion, frustration and excess time invested. In the future I plan to add a webpage discussing what I feel would help.
